NCC HEREFORD CUSTOM & CLASSIC BIKE SHOW - A BRIEF HISTORY
Near
the end of 1993 we met with some local bikers and discussed the possibility
of organising a chopper show to raise funds for Hodgkinson's Disease Research
as one of their number had recently been diagnosed with the illness.
Discussions with the owners of a shopping precinct set the venue for the
First NCC Hereford Custom & Classic Bike Show in April 1994.
After the third show, demand for space forced us to move the show venue into
Hereford Cattle Market, with the evening entertainment being in Marden (a
village nearby), thanks to a courteous landlord with a lot of land!
After the last foot & mouth outbreak a new venue was found for the entire
weekend - showground and camping - in the village of Madley, just a few miles
West of Hereford City. sadly the 18th bike show was cancelled at short notice,
we apologise to all our loyal visitors for this, so for 2012 we have reviewed
the event and are pleased to announce that this year's show will be on the
afternoon of Saturday
21st July.
The venue has CHANGED. It is being held at The Volunteer pub in the
village of Marden in north Herefordshire.
